Monthly Movies that Matter and Zeitgeist Media Festival – October

The Zeitgeist Movement Queensland brings you Monthly Movies that Matter, headlining with I am Fishead.

It is a well-known fact that our society is structured like a pyramid. The very few people at the top create conditions for the majority below. Who are these people? Can we blame them for the problems our society faces today? Guided by the saying “A fish rots from the head” this film sets out to follow that fishy odour and discovers that people at the top are more likely to be psychopaths than the rest of us.

We will also showcase some of the art from the global event, Zeitgeist Media Festival, which takes place on October 4th. If you have some music, art or poetry you would like to perform or show on the day around issues like war, religion, poverty, corruption, environmental degredation etc… or possibly something about a positive future, please contact Casey.

Each month we also vote on next month’s movie or theme. Everyone in attendance is welcome to make a suggestion and vote using minimum-opposition.

The event will be held in the Brisbane Square Library in the Theatrette free of charge.

Zeitgeist Monthly Movies are much more than just watching a movie. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn more about a more positive future, find out more about what’s happening in the Zeitgeist Movement locally, nationally and globally… and if you’d like to be more involved. Most importantly, it’s a great way to make friends, connect with like-minded people and have a great time.

We look forward to seeing you there!
