This monthly we will be watching a very funny and informative lecture by Dr Robert Sapolky (neuroendocrinologist, professor of biology, neuroscience, and neurosurgery at Stanford University, researcher and author). The lecture is entitled ‘Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers’ where he summeries the findings of his 1994 bestseller book by the same name. He discusses the orginal biological purpose of stress and how chonic stress can be detrimental to health. The 1 hr 12 min presentation, while being extremely informative is funny and useful to understand and manage/cope with stress in this society.
