Theatre workshop is back on again after last fortnight’s hosting at the Jagera Arts Centre Hall. It will be there again, at 121 Cordelia St, South Brisbane.

We would love to see you all there again – we are giving a bit more notice this time, so hopefully numbers will be better for this week 🙂

Come along if you are keen to develop some new skills through some fun activities like role plays, theatre exercises and maybe even a monologue recital. Lafe and Anita will be running this workshop and we are keen to get some scripts out to all of y’all with the view to put on a production in a few months time. We feel that some important social/philosophical/political messages can be delivered to our Brisbane community through a theatre production, so let’s see if we can get this happening and make a difference through art! Yeah! 😀

So get on down for Theatre Grubs at Jagera Arts next week at 6:30pm, we’d love to see you there!!

Future Thinkers Sessions for the Zeitgeist Movement Australia

SCIENCE – TECHNOLOGY – NATURE – SUSTAINABILITY

This month will run a little differently, as instead of having a special guest, we’ll have interesting, insightful videos about the Zeitgeist Movement’s vision, a Natural-Law Resource Based Economy, and a lot of opportunity for guided discussion lead by Casey, as well as break-out group discussions.

The idea is to finish with well-thought-out break-out groups to create direction and potential projects for the future. This could include podcasts, short films, creating a socially-aware board game, street activism, connecting and working with other local groups, learning more about particular topics, planning additional events… or working on Z-DAY 2017.

Please feel free to bring along an interesting book or DVD you’d like to donate/share with the group, or a list of suggested titles for viewing/reading. 🙂

An open platform to meet and chat with other ‘self-proclaimed’ controversial deep thinkers, scientists and philosophers… basically anyone who likes to think about anything. This is a realistic, fun and empowering meet-up about applying science to social concern.

This month we are fortunate enough to have Andres Pazimo presenting. Andres is a conservation expert from Equador, a country with one of the most diverse landscapes, which encompasses the Amazon jungle, Andean highlands and the wildlife-rich Galápagos Islands. He’ll be sharing about the importance of biodiversity, the problems with the current systems of protected areas, a socio-ecological approach to conservation and the importance of functional human-nature integration.
