Come together to hang out, chat, plan projects or events, meet interesting people, brainstorm together and empower each other. Caution – very casual setting 🙂 Lafe Charlton has worked in and around the Brisbane Theatre scene for over 20 years and we are stoked to have him on board hosting our first ever THEATRE workshop from about 7PM! Come along if you are keen to develop some new skills through some fun activities like role plays, theatre exercises and maybe even a poetry recital. This is a fun way to increase your confidence when on stage and/or in the center of attention and a great way to develop your public speaking skills also! If you’re more musically inclined, bring along an instrument and there shall be some jammin on the back deck upstairs! We will also have the social and creative table happening as usual, so feel free to bring any creative projects to work on – we will provide basic arts supplies and paper to bring out those inner children we keep locked up way too much! See you there!!

The SWARM Party!
The event is now open again – and on the night we will then update this page in regards to capacity. It is near impossible to accurately guess final numbers and this way we can just go with the flow – in true SWARM spirit…
Program to follow very soon…
The Swarm, the Zeitgeist Movement Brisbane, Atlas Unite, and the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) are having an event and would love you to be there!
We want you to be part of The SWARM – It’s a party with buzz.
Cooking Up a Storm by Paul Beer
Think of the parties and café cultures of the surrealists and other early modernists fusing artists, intellectuals, and play.
This is going to be a night of revelry, ideology, globally conscious brainstorming and live art creation exploring the Great Transition; as we elaborate and collaborate on the alternative future we seek.
Together, we’re going to delve into the rich potentials of the 21-hour work week. We’re going to express and create around what the future daily life will be like. We’ll consider the world around us; the work, energy, caring economy and law that will sustain us. We’ll be envisaging the new dream jobs, the new success.
This event of radical dreaming is informed by the Creative Factory in Paris last year. During UN COP21 dozens of activists, artists and experts on climate change, degrowth and the economy from all over the world met for collaboration, producing exciting results (see links below).
We’re after collaborators, experts, artists, musicians, community members. We’re keen to hear ideas and feedback.
Art supplies and some instruments provided. Admission is free, donations on the day appreciated.
Hope to hear from you and see you there!
